1. SHOULD I HAVE A MAMMOGRAM BEFORE OR AFTER SURGERY?
Yes. Mammograms are necessary for routine breast screening.
2. HOW IS A HAIR LOSS DIAGNOSIS OBTAINED?
A hair loss “work up” starts with a detailed medical history, including family history, history of medical illness, poor nutrition, current medications, hair care regimen, recent surgeries and a detailed history of the hair loss situation. A Physical exam would include evaluation of the scalp for signs and symptoms of hair loss and any concurrent problems, such as inflammation. Blood work or other testing (like a HairDX genetic test) may be performed if indicated by the history and physical symptoms.
3. WHY DO PEOPLE GET ACNE SCARS?
Acnes damages the skin extensively and the tissue beneath it. The body tries to repair this damage by increasing the production of collagen which leads to the formation of the acne scars.
4. CAN GYNECOMASTIA BE CORRECTED WITH CHEST EXERCISE?
Gynecomastia cannot be corrected with just chest exercises. The only effective solution is surgical (Usually Liposuction or a combination of Surgical Excision and Liposuction). In fact, many, if not most of my gynecomastia patients are weightlifters or other bodybuilders.
5. DO PRP INJECTIONS (PLATELET RICH PLASMA) HELP RESTORE FACIAL FAT LOSS?
The only treatment to revolumize your face is by utilizing dermal fillers or fat. Plasma works perfectly in combination with fat injections or dermal fillers but PRP alone doesn't add any volume.
